Welcome to HOPE Brussels 2017!
I am going to be documenting the journey of this amazing process on this blog so that I can share it with all of you. As you are well aware, each of the glass tiles requires that I sculpt my subject in bas-relief, and then make a wax reverse-copy.
Ground Zero for this project is Emilie, my kids' piano teacher. Emilie comes out from Brussels every Saturday and is a regular user of Brussels's Metro. She had passed through Maalbeeek station a mere ten minutes before the attack, and we all feel very grateful that she made it through safely.
